Practical Perception’s mission is to make automated interpretation and exploitation of sensor data “just work” in uncontrolled, real-world scenarios. We accomplish this by understanding the underlying science of the sensing phenomenology, leveraging our broad and deep knowledge of information extraction technology, and applying creative and insightful techniques gained over decades of developing systems in challenging environments. We work with many types of sensors, including electro-optical and infrared imaging, scanning laser, and radar. Our application areas include ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), unmanned ground vehicle navigation, and unmanned air system mission support.
